The End of our Journey

Our journey did not end quite here, but by now we were quite exhausted, and fed up with struggling with problems with our van so we headed back to the safety of family in Goes. Peter and Sonia kindly took us in and allowed us (mostly me) to rest and recuperate whilst holding out for my longed for return home.

We did get to visit local towns and museums some reflecting on the brave resistance of Dutch civilians during WW2 and the allied efforts to liberate them.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate John's 7oth birthday with Dutch family for the first time . We spent our last 4 days in Amsterdam exploring much of the city, including Rembrandts house, the Red Light district and other notable venues on foot
